Fans of the Dallas Cowboys will like reading this sentence: quarterback Dak Prescott is all-but-certainly going to play on Sunday Night Football against the Minnesota Vikings.

In fact, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb said he is “90 percent” sure the star quarterback will be ready for the Vikings contest, per USA Today's Jori Epstein.

According to ESPN's Todd Archer, who was present for the portion of Cowboys practice open to the media on Wednesday, Prescott “showed no ill effects” in practice from the right calf strain he suffered towards the end of Dallas overtime win over the New England Patriots in Week 6. Conveniently, Dallas had a bye in Week 7.

He was officially listed as a limited participant in practice, but Lamb expressed zero concern about his QB's availability for Sunday.

“Regular. Same Dak,” Lamb said, when asked how he looked, per ESPN. “He looks great in and out of his drops. I don't know the restrictions on him or what's going on, but, to me, he looks perfectly fine.”

Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy was optimistic about Prescott's chances of taking the field vs. Minnesota.

“He's going to practice and he's going to go through the individual part of it and he's in the game plans. He's preparing to play,” McCarthy said. “He's got to cross the threshold to make sure he's full-go.”

The Cowboys (5-1) enjoy a healthy lead in the NFC East entering Week 8, as the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants, and the Washington Football Team all sit at 2-5. McCarthy said the standings would not factor into the decision to play Prescott.
