The Dallas Cowboys turned out to be just a one-and-done team in the playoffs, and it's certainly breaking the hearts of Cowboys players and fans. But the painful home loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Wild Card did not stop Dak Prescott from showing what true leadership is all about.

Via Mike Leslie of WFAA:

Micah Parsons says that Dak Prescott came to the team and said “hey, everybody throw $500 in,” to give to practice squad players, because they don’t get the same check for playoff games.  Parsons says that’s the kind of leader Prescott is.

The Cowboys quarterback could have easily forgotten about the team's practice players, especially after a loss like that. But he sure knows how to put things into perspective.

The former Mississippi State Bulldogs finished the game with 254 passing yards and a touchdown with an interception on 23/43 completions. He repeatedly folded under the pressure of San Francisco's pass rush, as he got taken to the ground in the backfield five times for a loss of 40 yards.

Now, Prescott and the Cowboys face another interesting season after falling way short of the goal – not even a single win in the playoffs after concluding the regular season as the no. 1 team in the NFC East division. It could be an entirely forgettable season for Dallas, but those practice players likely will always remember this season for what Prescott and his teammates did.
