Dallas Cowboys star quarterback Dak Prescott hit a snag in his return from a devastating ankle injury when he suffered a throwing shoulder injury at the start of training camp. While that was an unfortunate setback for the Cowboys quarterback, he's apparently ready to roll for the regular season.

Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore expressed his excitement over Prescott's status on Thursday, via Sports Illustrated's Mike Fisher:

“I thought he looked great,” said Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore on Thursday at The Star, reflecting back on QB Dak Prescott's previous day's practice. “We’re not looking at anything from a limitation standpoint … We're just playing ball at this point.”

Moore added: “We're fired up.”

This is an awesome sign for Prescott and the Cowboys amid some concern about his status for the season. Even if there still is some question as to whether Prescott will truly be 100% back to his former self, it sure seems as if he's in as good of a place as one could hope for after everything he has been through.

The Cowboys have one more preseason game remaining this weekend against the Jacksonville Jaguars before opening the regular season against the defending champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sept. 9. That game should be quite the spectacle in Tampa Bay, and Dak Prescott will be hoping to steal the spotlight in his return to the field.
