It's no surprise that Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers emerged victorious over the Dallas Cowboys and Dak Prescott in the first game of the new NFL season. What did catch people off guard was how hard it was for the Super Bowl champions to get the win.

There were a handful of question marks surrounding Dak Prescott in his first in-game action since his ankle surgery from a year ago. The Cowboys QB answered them, and then some. He was absolutely phenomenal in his return, throwing for 403 yards and three touchdowns, bailing out the Cowboys with pinpoint precision on numerous occasions.

But Tom Brady, as always, was inevitable. With under two minutes remaining and his Bucs down by a point, Cowboys fans knew in their heart that the GOAT would deliver, hitting critical strikes to get his team in position to win. Brady finished with an equally impressive 379 yards and four touchdowns thrown.

The two superstars shared a moment on the field after the fireworks, with the Dak Prescott delivering a parting message to Tom Brady toward the end.

“We'll see ya'll again,” said the Cowboys QB.

It's almost a foregone conclusion for most that Tom Brady and the Buccaneers will make their way back to the postseason, which wasn't the same outlook for the Cowboys. Yet, if Dak Prescott continues to play at this level, perhaps this won't be their only meeting of the season after all.
