No Dez Bryant. No early-round wide receiver picks. One giant question mark at the wide receiver position for the Dallas Cowboys. It's why Jerry Jones and his son approved a Day 3 draft-day trade with the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday.

Five-year veteran Tavon Austin will be packing his bags and heading east to Dallas as he officially traded by the Rams to those Boys, via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk.

The compensation heading to Los Angeles is only a sixth-round selection, No. 192 overall. This specific compensation is probably a bitter pill to swallow for a franchise who selected the traded off part as a first rounder back in 2013 out of West Virginia. In any event, they received five years of service from the veteran wideout.

Austin, 27, is a short-statured shifty wideout who best operates out of the slot within a spread-type offense—obviously, this caters more to the collegiate world.

In 75 career games with the St. Louis-Los Angeles organization, Austin's compiled 1,689 yards and 12 touchdowns through the air on 194 total receptions. He's also contributed with 1,238 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground.

Dallas' current wide-receiving look on the depth chart isn't anything to write home about. In this post-Dez Bryant world, Allen Hurns, Cole Beasley, Terrance Williams, Deonte Thompson and third-round rookie Michael Gallup are the top names at the position.

Tavon Austin now officially joins that group.
