The Dallas Cowboys have not had a very busy offseason, but one of their most significant moves was signing wide receiver Randall Cobb, who is expected to be the team's No. 3 receiver behind Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup.

According to Todd Archer of ESPN, Cobb has been very impressive thus far and may end up serving as a sound replacement for former slot receiver Cole Beasley, who signed with the Buffalo Bills in free agency.

Archer notes that Cobb's versatility could end up being a big X-factor in the Cowboys' offense, also stating that he has looked very quick of out of breaks and fast enough to make plays down the field.

Of course, if Cobb is able to do all of that, it would be an enormous boon for Dallas, as the Cowboys really did not know what to expect when they brought him aboard earlier this offseason.

After all, the 28-year-old is coming off of a rough 2018 campaign with the Green Bay Packers in which he played just nine games due to injuries and finished with 38 catches for 383 yards and a couple of touchdowns, marking his least productive season since his rookie year.

Cobb, who played his collegiate football at the University of Kentucky, was originally selected by the Packers in the second round (64th pick overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft.

He spent the first eight years of his career in Green Bay, with his best season coming in 2014 when he hauled in 91 receptions for 1,287 yards and 12 touchdowns en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

Cobb has been on a steady decline ever since.
