Kellen Moore is just 31 years old, but he is in his first year as offensive coordinator of the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys are already seeing great results from Moore, as Dallas is leading the NFL in yardage five weeks into the season and is averaging 26.2 points per game.

Tight end Jason Witten says one area in which Moore excels in is making in-game adjustments:

“I think one of the areas he really shines is in game,” Witten said, according to Jori Epstein of USA TODAY Sports. “His ability to make adjustments, see what they’re doing and then countering that. It showed up in the Green Bay game.”

The Cowboys went scoreless in the first half against the Green Bay Packers and found themselves behind 24-0 at one point during the third quarter before an offensive flurry got Dallas back to within striking distance.

The Cowboys ended losing the game by a score of 34-24, but Moore's ability to turn the offense around in the second half impressed Witten:

“[Moore] kept adjusting to what they were doing,” Witten said. “And down the stretch, when you play against the best teams, the ability to adjust as a playcaller and as players in game and say, ‘Yeah, okay, our film study said this, but we’re seeing something different?’ That’s the chess match.”

Witten logged three catches for 29 yards against the Packers. On the season overall, the veteran has caught 17 passes for 173 yards and a couple of touchdowns.

Dallas is 3-2 and will take on the New York Jets in Week 6.
