Dallas Cowboys right guard Zack Martin made his way back on the practice field after missing last week's game. Martin endured a knee injury in Week 14's matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk spoke on the status of the Cowboys offensive line without Martin.

“Connor Williams stepped in for Martin, which meant the Cowboys had to turn to Adam Redmond when left guard Xavier Su'a-Filo injured his eye in the loss to the Colts. Su’a-Filo said on Wednesday that he expects to play against the Buccaneers.”

Martin has been a tremendous part of the Cowboys' success over the years and the offensive line has been Dallas' bright spot for a handful of years now. The offensive line headlined by left tackle Tyron Smith, center Travis Frederick, and Martin have helped provide running backs like DeMarco Murray and Ezekiel Elliott with a lot of success over the years.

If the Cowboys want to build upon their impressive season they will need Martin on the field to give the offense the boost they need going forward. It's worth noting that with a healthy offensive line, Elliott will in turn perform to his best ability.

The league has seen Elliott dominate over the years and in due part to having one of the league's best running support units.

The Cowboys don't necessarily have a tough matchup on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but it would be a shame if they managed to underperform on their home turf.
