Only days after being assigned to his team's D-League affiliate, San Antonio Spurs‘ shooting guard Danny Green is set to make his season debut against the Houston Rockets, Wednesday night.

Green is coming off a quad strain injury that has forced him to miss the Spurs' first seven games of the season. His return couldn't have come at a better time as his team has been struggling with their three-point shooting and are currently ranked 29th in the league in efficiency from beyond the arc.

The 29-year-old North Carolina product is a career 40.3 percent shooter from three-point distance and has averages of 9.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.0 steals per game in his first seven years in the NBA.

It is expected that Green will be eased slowly into the rotation by the team's coaching staff as he is a key piece to their hopes of making a deep run in the playoffs this season. But if he shows no ill-effects of his injury, it won't be surprising if his team will give him a good amount of minutes to get back his rhythm and shake off the rust from being sidelined.
