Darren Till and Derek Brunson are set to meet in the main event of UFC Vegas 36. The two men represent an important matchup for the middleweight division as both are looking to get closer to a title shot against current champion Israel Adesanya.

Before the main event can be considered official, they need to make weight. The fight is contested at middleweight which means both men need to weigh in at 185 pounds, but since this is a non-title fight they are allowed a one-pound allowance.

This means as long as they weigh between 171 – 186, the fight is good to go. The official weigh-ins have commenced and both men hit their target.

Darren Till comes in at 185.5 pounds and Derek Brunson weighs in at 186 pounds. They have both hit their mark perfectly.

Till used to have weight problems when he competed at welterweight, even missing weight against Stephen Thompson, now at middleweight he is right where he needs to be at 185 pounds.

Brunson, on the other hand, has never missed weight in his career and brings his streak to 19 fights without coming in over 186 pounds. The wrestler will look to bring his current win streak to five against Till.

The fight pits a striker against a wrestler in a five-round matchup guaranteed to deliver in an exciting affair. The winner could potentially face champion Israel Adesanya with Robert Whittaker set to take some significant time off.

UFC Vegas 36 is set to take place on Saturday, September 4, at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
