The Green Bay Packers and Davante Adams are squaring off with the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship game on Sunday.

Green Bay took a beating in the regular season meeting between the two teams. However, they are poised to flip the script and give the 49ers all they have.

That includes wide receiver Davante Adams. Despite being constantly game planned for and double teamed, Adams tends to put up numbers. What can he do for Green Bay this week?

Here are three bold predictions for Davante Adams in the NFC Championship game against the 49ers.

Seven-Plus Receptions

Davante Adams, Packers, 49ers

Davante Adams is a superstar. There's really no debating this. He proves that every time he steps on the field. In each of his last four games, Adams has racked up at least seven receptions. That includes an eight reception, 120 yard and two touchdown performance in the Divisional round against the Seattle Seahawks.

Now yes, the 49ers have one of the best defenses in the NFL. Do they have anyone that can check Davante Adams properly, though?

He is by far the best weapon on the Packers. Which means he gets more attention, but it also means Aaron Rodgers looks for him often. Richard Sherman is enjoying a career renaissance, Davante Adams has his way with basically everyone though. That includes a seven-reception game against the 49ers earlier in the year.

100-Plus Yards

Three of the last four games have seen Davante Adams go for over 100 receiving yards. The only one that he didn't eclipse that number in, he had 93 yards.

Adams is so dominant because he can body a defensive back. However, he can also use his elite route running and great speed to fool them and blow past them as well. And after he catches the ball, he is far from easy to bring down.

Green Bay will likely want to get off to a fast start, and they won't want to let up if they do end up having a big lead.

So whether up or down, the Packers will probably be throwing a lot. Adams is the favorite (and best) target of Rodgers. If the wide receiver is getting targets he's getting receptions, if he's getting receptions he's likely racking up the yards.

100 is a lot, but Adams is no stranger to hitting that number. Especially in the playoffs, where he already has three games of over 100 yards in his career.

Constant Double

Something else about Adams that makes him so valuable is the attention he demands. He will still put up his numbers and get his. However, Adams will be seeing a lot of double teams. There will be extra coverage near him the entire game.

This makes the average-at-best supporting cast behind Adams for Rodgers to look a lot better. Suddenly everyone else is getting slightly more favorable matchups because the opponents refuse to let Adams beat them. He still probably will beat them, but they'll try to stop him.

Adams getting doubles and extra coverage means the rest of the defense is basically playing a man down. Someone will get open. It's one of those things that don't show up in the box score, but is vitally important.

If the Packers can capitalize off Adams being constantly doubled, they will win.
