To say that Deion Sanders' coaching debut for Jackson State on Sunday was eventful would be an understatement. After a bizarre development of events involving a stolen wallet and phone, Sanders himself took to Twitter to set the record straight.

Earlier reports stated that Sanders' locker was ransacked during the game. As it turns out, however, the theft incident transpired in his own office:

Sanders was visibly upset after the game, and he even slammed on the table during his post-game presser. It also seemed like he issued a threat to the culprit, saying that he would make sure that they would get to the bottom of this. This was exactly the type of reaction you'd expect from someone who just got robbed of his personal belongings — while he was coaching his first-ever football game in their own home stadium. The level of disrespect is unreal.

Sanders did not reveal what will happen to the thief, and it remains unclear if the Pro Football Hall of Famer will be pressing charges.

Oh and in case you were wondering, the Tigers won the game. Jackson State absolutely dominated a mismatched Edward Waters side in a 53-0 blowout. Such is the star power of Prime Time, that a botched theft incident involving his personal belongings gets more time in the limelight than the actual game he coached.

Great debut from Coach Prime, but we fully expect tougher challenges ahead. Based on what we saw in his first game, however, it looks like Sanders is up to the task.
