For now, the Miami Dolphins are set to enter the regular season with Tua Tagovailoa as their starting quarterback.

Rumors about a potential Deshaun Watson trade have really picked up steam lately though, and one team that keeps coming is the Dolphins.

Head coach Brian Flores was asked about Tagovailoa with the Watson rumors circulation to which the Dolphins coach spoke highly of Tua.

While it's not exactly a huge endorsement of Tagovailoa, Flores keeping it short and sweet when asked about any rumors with Watson is definitely the way to go.

The Houston Texans are currently in a bit of dilemma as Watson has been accused of sexual assault by numerous women and there has not been a conclusion to those cases yet. From a football standpoint, any team that takes on the risk of adding Watson inherits the chance that he doesn't play at all in the 2021 season and beyond. It's something teams like the Dolphins certainly have to weigh.

Flores will likely keep getting hammered with the questions about Watson even though acquiring the Texans' quarterback will largely be out of his hands and not his final decision.

Tagovailoa is entering his second season out of Alabama. He struggled mightily at times as a rookie and even lost the job at a couple of different points in the 2020 season to veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick. After an offseason where the Dolphins put solid weapon around the young quarterback including Jaylen Waddle and Will Fuller, it's time for Tua to step up and show Miami they made the right choice in drafting him.
