Miami Dolphins wide receiver DeVante Parker was not happy about being forced to sit out in Week 2. Parker missed his team's 27-20 Week 1 victory over the Tennessee Titans with a broken finger. He was a full participant in practice both Thursday and Friday, but the team announced that he would be inactive shortly before the game.

According to Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald, Parker responded “of course not” when asked if he was ok with not playing for the second week in a row. He said he felt pretty good earlier in the week, so he probably expected to suit up.

Parker was selected No. 14 overall in the 2015 NFL Draft out of Louisville. The fourth-year player recorded 57 receptions for 670 yards and one touchdown last season. Even without him, they managed to beat the New York Jets 20-12, making them 2-0 on the year. While Parker is considered their number one target, Kenny Stills is filling in for him just fine. Stills has recorded six receptions for 123 yards and two scores in Parker's absence.

Ryan Tannehill has looked accurate since returning to the team this year, completing 72.5 percent of his passes so far this season. If Parker returns in Week 3, the Dolphins should be better at their best against the 0-2 Oakland Raiders in their next game. While he may be frustrated now, the Dolphins have shown that they can win without him.

Parker should take his time coming back. When he does make his return, the Dolphins will benefit from him being at 100 percent.
