Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill made a startling admission on his podcast It Needed To Be Said Tuesday. He claimed that he had received death threats across all of his social media platforms. The reason for such vile hatred is simple and equally ridiculous. The Dolphins star wideout claimed it was solely because of his comments regarding Patrick Mahomes last week.

During the inaugural episode of his podcast, Hill was asked about the differences between his former QB Patrick Mahomes and his current QB Tua Tagovailoa. The Dolphins superstar acknowledged that Mahomes has a much stronger arm but said that Tagovailoa is the more accurate quarterback. He also said that he believed the Chiefs were going to have a harder time on offense without him there.

Apparently, that's when things got out of control. This week, Hill dropped the bomb leaving people scratching their heads.

“Every social media account I own, I got death threats on,” the 28-year-old said. “Which is ridiculous… right now, I'm going into a new season with a new quarterback who's trying to head in the same direction as Patrick and do great things and lead this team to a Super Bowl championship — who's also great, in my opinion. He just doesn't have the accolades of yet. I believe in him.”

When news first broke on those comments, nearly everyone in the media laughed it off. Mahomes has proven to be one of the most accurate quarterbacks football fans have seen in years. He's also such an incredible playmaker that stating that the Dolphins QB is better at anything almost sounds ridiculous. However, Tagovailoa is known for his accuracy on short to intermediate routes. Only time will tell how accurate that assessment was by Hill.
