The Miami Dolphins are in a state of flux at wide receiver. The team has tough decisions to make regarding the futures of DeVante Parker and Danny Amendola, both of whom are under contract for next season but could create a significant chunk of new cap space for the Dolphins if cut.

Considering the possibility Miami moves on from both veterans, it's even more important that Albert Wilson gains a clean bill of health after missing most of his debut campaign in South Florida. New wide receivers coach Karl Dorrell seems to have a special plan in mind on how to use the versatile veteran, too.

“He was pretty dynamic wasn't he?” Dorrell said of Wilson's performance last season, per the Miami Herald. “He's a very unique player. I’m really excited about him..I hear he’s doing a really good job with the recovery process but you could tell when he was on the field, he had a number of ways to affect the defense and to make the defense really pay attention to where he is and things like that.”

Wilson had 26 catches for 391 yards and four touchdowns in just seven games last season. He suffered a hip injury in the Dolphins' 32-21 loss to the Detroit Lions on October 21st, which didn't require surgery but ended his season nonetheless. Wilson was placed on injured reserve on October 23rd.

The 26-year-old signed a three-year, $24 million contract with Miami last offseason after spending the first four seasons of his career with the Kansas City Chiefs. He entered the league in 2014 as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia State.
