The Duke Blue Devils lost in disappointing fashion to the unranked Ohio State Buckeyes on Tuesday night. It wasn't just that the number-one ranked Blue Devils lost, it was the way that they lost the Buckeyes, as they blew a lead that should have been insurmountable. Head coach Mike Krzyzewski reacted to the bitter loss, via ESPN.

“I thought we were worn out at the end,” Krzyzewski said. “When not getting the stops, we weren't able to lengthen the lead a couple times.” “They just stayed right in there.”

Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski has a point. It seemed like the Blue Devils, who raced out to a 43-30 lead over Ohio State at the half, ran out of steam when they produced just 21 points after the break.

Krzyzewski took it even further, saying that even though Duke didn't get stops, they still had the firepower to outscore a team like the Buckeyes, but they didn't do that either. Krzyzewski seems to be putting the blame squarely on stars such as Paolo Banchero.

While blaming Duke players, credit should also be given to Ohio State forward E.J. Liddell, who played an excellent game in securing 14 points and 11 rebounds.

One can bet that Krzyzewski will run the Blue Devils at practice hard following this tough loss to Ohio State. However, think of it this way, Blue Devils fans.

If Duke was going to lose in massive upset fashion, fans of the team- and Mike Krzyzewski himself- would rather that disappointing loss occur in November than in March.
