Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor are going to be linked together for a long time after their heated trilogy came to an end with a leg break at UFC 264. There were some talks of a fourth fight with the Irishman wanting to run it back yet again.

Dustin Poirier was present at UFC 271 and answered questions on potentially fighting Conor McGregor again. It doesn't look like he has any interest in running it back a fourth time.

“Me and Conor have a history,” Poirier said during his appearance at UFC 271. “Fighting him at 145 and bumping up, then bumping up, fighting him seven years later, beating him. Even that fight — I’m probably not going to fight Conor again. I don’t really want to fight Conor again. For me, that door is closed. The only reason I’d do it is for money. I beat him two times in a row.

“Can I best my two performances? Can I knock him out quicker? Can I 10-7 him? What can I do? I’ve done it,” the UFC lightweight continued. “If I do it again, it’s just for money, right? So that’s a completely different thing,” the UFC lightweight said.

It looks like Dustin Poirier is done with the Conor McGregor chapter of his life after taking him on two times in the UFC in 2021. It looks like he is eyeing a move to welterweight with a Nate Diaz fight looming.

It is not clear when Conor McGregor will be ready to return to the UFC. It looks like summer could be the time but there are many things that need to fall into place first.
