Longtime Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Fletcher Cox found himself in trade rumors ahead of Tuesday's deadline, but he wound up staying put as there wasn't a whole lot of action.

Cox has been a mainstay with the Eagles for a long time. Philly drafted him with the 12th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. He played well in his rookie season and almost immediately became an impact starter.

The 30-year-old made his first Pro Bowl in 2015 and hasn't missed once since, also racking up First-Team All-Pro honors in the 2018 season. The season before that, Cox helped the Eagles win the Super Bowl.

Cox hasn't been quite as good for Philly's mediocre defense this season, and he recently aired out some grievances over the performance. Other teams reportedly called the Eagles about the longtime defensive star, but clearly nothing was worked out on the trade front.

Philly is 3-5 on the season after a dominant victory over the hapless Detroit Lions this past weekend. While the Eagles have been a disappointment, there's still plenty of season left to make a run up the standings. Cox will be there to try to make it happen.
