Philadelphia Eagles defensive lineman Fletcher Cox has never once watched the Super Bowl.

That's right. The Eagles best, arguably, defensive player gearing up for the New England Patriots and Super Bowl 52 in Minnesota in early February 2018, has never laid eyes on the world's biggest stage. That's what the man claims via Matt Lombardo of NJ.com.

“I don't watch football,” Cox said, when asked to recall his favorite Super Bowl memory. “I don't watch sports … I've told you that before. I don't watch sports. You know that”

OK, so, perhaps Cox has once laid eyes on the TV set at a Super Bowl party or something, but the man clearly doesn't watch sports and apparently, has made it known prior.

Despite his TV-watching habits, Cox may turn out to be the most important man in the big game.

Think of Tom Brady and the Pats throughout the last 17 years. Think of the two stunning Super Bowl losses they were forced to endure. Twice, the New York Giants got it done while featuring a strong four-man pass rush, especially along the interior.

While Pats O-line coach Dante Scarnecchia does a tremendous job year in and year out, they continually focus on the interior to ensure No. 12 can calmly climb the pocket and deliver a strike. The word's been out since Justin Tuck and company used their famed NASCAR package to mount pressure up-the-middle against Brady and the Pats. Brady despises up-the-middle pressure and loves to firmly step into throws.

Where does Cox line up? Either the 3-technique or somewhere else over a guard or center in Jim Schwartz's 4-3 look.

Sports fan or not, Super Bowl 52 could come down to a few huge plays made by the Super Bowl virgin named Fletcher Cox.
