The Philadelphia Eagles are in the market for a running back, and while Le'Veon Bell has expressed some interest in taking his talents to the City of Brotherly Love, the Eagles have turned their attention to Tevin Coleman, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

Now, obviously, this does not mean that Philadelphia is not interested in Bell, but Coleman would certainly be a much cheaper option, and unlike Bell, he actually played in 2018.

This past season with the Atlanta Falcons, Coleman rushed for 800 yards and four touchdowns while averaging 4.8 yards per carry. In addition, he hauled in 32 receptions for 276 yards and five scores.

Not Bell numbers, but certainly solid, nonetheless.

Coleman, who played his collegiate football at the University of Indiana, was originally selected by the Falcons in the third round (73rd pick overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft.

The 25-year-old played in 12 games during his rookie campaign, registering 392 yards and a score in limited action. The following year, his role increased drastically, as he finished with 520 yards and eight scores on the ground while catching 31 passes for 421 yards and three touchdowns.

Then, in 2017, Coleman totaled 628 yards and five scores as a rusher and snared 27 balls for 299 yards while reaching the end zone three times in the passing game.

The Eagles ranked just 28th in the NFL in rushing offense this past season, with Josh Adams leading the team with a very modest 511 yards on the ground.

Philadelphia won nine games and was able to sneak into the playoffs during the final week of the regular season and ended up losing in the Divisional Round to the New Orleans Saints.
