Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Jordan Davis is now the latest player to put pen to paper on a rookie contract.

The Eagles announced on Thursday that they came to terms with Davis, linebacker Kyron Johnson and tight end Gabriel Calcaterra on rookie contract deals.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter further noted that Davis signed off on a four-year, $17 million deal with the Eagles. The multiyear agreement for the former Georgia defensive lineman is fully guaranteed and includes a $9.55 million signing bonus.

Davis is slated to hold a cap hit of around $3 million for the 2022 season, and as a first-round pick in this year’s draft, he does also have a fifth-year option in his contract.

The Eagles selected Davis with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. The reigning College Football Playoff national champion had a variety of draft projections in the weeks leading up to the opening round, from possibly being a top-10 pick to potentially sliding into the 20s. In the end, the Eagles hauled him in on what turned out to be their lone first-round selection of this year's draft.

The Eagles coaching staff will get its first glimpse of Davis in this weekend’s rookie minicamp. The Eagles will be among six teams that will kick off their rookie minicamp schedule on May 6, which also include the Washington Commanders.

Davis sure is set to have a crucial opportunity to learn from the likes of Fletcher Cox and Javon Hargrave in his upcoming debut campaign.
