Let's just say Sean Payton lost this one.

During a round of golf at the league meetings this offseason, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson and the New Orleans Saints head coach came up with an interesting wager. Due to Payton's golf ball landing in the water, the Super Bowl 52 champs will now wear those green-colored jerseys in New Orleans when the two teams meet up during Week 11, via NJ.com.

Payton said there’s “a good chance” that the loss “involved me being in water.”

“After a while your competitive juices start flowing, you kinda try to feel each other out a bit to see ‘OK, how is he going to play, how am I going to play,'” Pederson said, via NJ.com. “Then I think Sean and I both got to the point where it was like we have to do something here. We have to play for something. We started talking about it, talking about jersey colors and Sean was like, there’s only so many things as head coaches that we can control. Obviously we can control this and we said hey this is a great idea.”

What's worse for Payton is that the big splash wasn't the only time Pederson won a bet during the round. The Eagles staff will also be receiving coffee and beignets from the Saints staff.

Sean Payton and Doug Pederson's friendship has been well chronicled and remains to this very day. Each coach is a Super Bowl champion and when Week 11 comes our way, will both be on full display.
