The Philadelphia Eagles experienced a slew of injuries on offense in 2019,, and the secondary was the weakest link on the defense. As a result, Tim McManus of ESPN envisions Philadelphia making a ‘splash move' in NFL free agency.

This season, the Eagles boasted the 19th ranked pass defense in the NFL. While that isn't the worst in the NFL, it's evident that the secondary needs some work in the near future. In the end, the Eagles would conclude the season with Jalen Mills and Ronald Darby as their starting cornerbacks.

As McManus points out, both Mills and Darby are slated to become free agents this offseason. Even though Mills could be re-signed, the Eagles could still choose to add a notable name in free agency.

Of the options they'll have, Byron Jones and Chris Harris Jr. are two names that McManus listed. Both Jones and Harris could test the open market if their respective teams aren't able to hash out extensions.

For Jones, he's likely played his final down for the Dallas Cowboys already. Aside from Jones, the Cowboys have to make decisions on Dak Prescott, Amari Cooper, Sean Lee, and Robert Quinn. Thus, making it possible that he heads elsewhere in 2020.

On the other hand, Harris could move on from the Denver Broncos after spending nine seasons with the organization. Last year, the Broncos gave Harris a raise in the final year of his contract. However, it remains to be seen if he's interested in returning to the Broncos next season.

Without a doubt, the Eagles could use some help in the secondary in 2020. Luckily for them, they'll have an assortment of options and a general manager in Howie Roseman who isn't afraid to pull the trigger.
