ESPN's Mel Kiper's mock draft predictions are studied closely leading up to the draft as his insight is usually more or less very spot on. Kiper has the Green Bay Packers making some major moves to assess the offense next season.
The first order of business is to draft an offensive lineman with their 12th overall pick, and Kiper has them taking Chris Lindstrom out of Boston College. The offensive line isn't quite what it used to be, so assessing the need to protect Rodgers and Aaron Jones is a major key to success. While previous mock drafts have the Packers snagging a tight end with this pick, according to Kiper, they will do so with the 30th overall pick.
Iowa's Noah Fant would be an incredible fit for the team, and Aaron Rodgers would love to see an athletic tight end in the offense. While the team still has Jimmy Graham, it's likely he isn't there long term answer. However, Fant very well could be.
In addition to Fant, the Packers are projected to get another offensive weapon with Ohio State's talented wide receiver Parris Campbell. The desire to help Rodgers and get the offense back to performing at its elite potential as it did just a few seasons ago.
With the direction of assessing the offense in the draft after adding tremendous help on the defensive side of the ball through free agency, the Packers could be one of the most complete teams as the 2019 season approaches.
