Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones did not participate in practice on Tuesday, according to Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com.

Jones is nursing a shoulder injury that he sustained during the first half of his team's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this past Sunday. Jones exited the game and returned with less than six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, but left again.

The fact that Jones is not practicing on Tuesday obviously does not bode well for his Week 13 status, as the Falcons are scheduled to battle the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night.

On the season, Jones has logged 64 catches for 950 yards and four touchdowns and seems to be well on his way to another Pro Bowl selection, pending how long his shoulder issue keeps him sidelined.

The 30-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Alabama, was originally selected by Atlanta with the sixth overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft.

He made the Pro Bowl as soon as his second season, catching 79 passes for 1,198 yards and 10 scores. Since 2013, Jones has made six straight Pro Bowl appearances, leading the league in receiving yards twice. He most recently achieved that feat last year, when he racked up 1,677 yards.

Jones also notched First-Team All-Pro selections in 2015 and 2016.

The Falcons have been one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL this season. Thought by many to be a legitimate contender in the NFC coming into 2019, Atlanta has gone just 3-8 thus far and has not resembled a playoff at any point during the campaign.
