Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones is not expected by the team to suit up in their Week 12 encounter against the Las Vegas Raiders due to a hamstring injury, as per NFL Network‘s Ian Rapoport. It was also reported that he previously missed out on their Friday practice after seeing limited participation earlier in the week.

An up and down campaign continues to unfold for Julio Jones who sat out a couple of their previous games due to a handful of injuries. He also came out with a meager output of 39 receiving yards on two receptions in their most recent tilt against the New Orleans Saints en route to a disappointing 24-9 defeat.

Despite his absences, Jones is still expected to exceed the 1,000 receiving yard mark as he already tallied 677 yards on 45 catches and three scoring touchdowns in eight games played through Week 11 of the season. However, his valiant contributions on the field still failed to translate to wins for the team who are now holding a 3-7 record to settle on the cellar-dwelling spot of the NFC South division.

On the other hand, the Falcons will be getting a boost on their aerial attack as tight end Hayden Hurts is poised to play on Sunday despite previously sustaining an ankle injury.

Even without their top receiver, the Falcons will still aim to defend their home turf heading into Week 12 proceedings as they host the Raiders who are likewise coming off a tough loss in Week 11 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
