The Atlanta Falcons have the weapons on offense to have one of the best offenses in the NFL but it hasn't shown yet this season. After practice on Friday, Julio Jones spoke out about Atlanta's scoring struggles to begin the season.

Currently, Atlanta has a record of 1-3 on the season as they enter Week 5. Above all, the offense hasn't played up to their standards through the first four games that they've played in.

Jones believes that the offense should be easily scoring 21 to 28 points week in and week out in 2019. However, the Falcons offense has been abysmal, scoring just 17.5 points per game this season (tied with the Denver Broncos and less than the Arizona Cardinals).

Last year, with basically the same players on the offense, Atlanta averaged 25.9 points per game (10th best in the NFL). Ultimately, the play from Matt Ryan this season has been inconsistent, to say the least.

The Falcons veteran quarterback has thrown for 1,325 yards and eight touchdowns to begin the season. But he's also tied for the league-high in interceptions with six. The offensive line has given him a decent amount of time to throw so that isn't the reason for his struggles.

In light of that, the rushing attack for the Falcons has been nearly nonexistent this season. Over the first four weeks, Devonta Freeman and company have averaged just 70.3 yards this season (sixth-lowest in NFL). In comparison, the Falcons offense averaged 98.3 rushing yards per game in 2018.

As for Jones, the All-Pro wideout has scored four out of the team's nine touchdowns this season. Therefore, none of the blame should be coming in the direction of the veteran wide receiver.

All things being considered, Atlanta has a favorable defense to face in Week 5 to get back on track offensively.

The Falcons will face a mediocre secondary of the Houston Texans on Sunday and should be able to rack up points with ease on the road.
