Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts sent Twitter into a frenzy on Thursday with a simple tweet amid his team's Deshaun Watson trade pursuit. Pitts quickly deleted the tweet, but the damage was done.

Here's the tweet in question:

Naturally, the assumption here was that Pitts knew something big was coming on the Watson front. Instead, he deleted the tweet and then tweeted this out:

It's hard to relax after this tease, but it seems nothing is imminent just yet.

The Falcons are one of the top suitors for Watson as he makes his decision on where he wants to wind up. The rival New Orleans Saints are also involved, with some seeing them as the favorite for Watson. The Carolina Panthers are pursuing Watson as well, while the Cleveland Browns are officially out of the mix.

Atlanta has had Matt Ryan at quarterback for the last 14 seasons. The franchise has kept Ryan in the loop on the Watson situation, with a trade of the veteran obviously coming if the Houston Texans star picks the Falcons for his next destination.

While Watson is an obvious upgrade over Ryan at this point, there still is a chance of a suspension handed down by the NFL because of his sexual assault scandal. Watson has been cleared of any criminal wrongdoing, but there are still 22 civil cases out there that need to be resolved.

Stay tuned as the Deshaun Watson saga continues. Kyle Pitts is obviously keeping a close eye on the situation.
