The Atlanta Falcons will be without Todd Gurley when they take on the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 12 of the 2020 NFL season, according to team reporter Kelsey Conway. Gurley is nursing a knee injury.

Gurley has been one of the leading forces for the Falcons this season. He leads the team with 610 rushing yards on 167 carries and nine touchdowns. The 26-year-old back just had a lackluster performance against the New Orleans Saints in Week 11, however, and he was used sparingly in the second half. He finished the contest rushing for only 26 yards off eight carries.

The Falcons also have a couple of questionable calls in wideout Julio Jones and tight end Hayden Hurst. If both players are unable to go on Sunday as well, the Raiders could be in for an easy outing against the Falcons due to that depleted offensive arsenal.

With Gurley out, Brian Hill will likely receive the bulk of the snaps at running back. Hill is second in rushing production behind Gurley with 261 yards on 60 carries. The fifth-year halfback is coming off a 2019 season in which he rushed for 323 yards and two touchdowns.

The 4-7 Falcons were already up for a difficult task against the 6-4 Raiders in Week 12. The Raiders have won three of their last four games, with the one loss coming against the Kansas City Chiefs in a thrilling game. It will only be tougher for Atlanta against Oakland without Todd Gurley playing alongside Matt Ryan.
