Kobe Bryant’s passing more than a year ago left the whole world with such a huge void that can still be felt right now. This is also the case for card fans who were left hanging with their redemption cards of the Los Angeles Lakers’ legends. With Bryant gone, there is no feasible way for Panini to fulfill their promise to deliver his autographed memorabilia to the remaining redemption card owners.

To solve this, the card manufacturer announced late last year that they will be offering a Kobe Bryant Redemption Pack to these people to compensate them.

2020 Panini Kobe Bryant Career Highlights Redemption Packs Basketball Cards 2

Each pack contains six cards, including short-print parallels from Panini’s Mosaic brand. These parallels are Purple Snakeskin /24, Purple and Gold Snakeskin /20, Gold Snakeskin /8, and Black Snakeskin /1. The final card included by Panini is a highlight from Bryant’s career, which also has a short print-run.

Most fans were disappointed upon hearing the news because these cards would never match the value of a true Kobe Bryant autographed card. While that may be the case for some, it isn’t for Luke Williams.

In a video posted by Cherry Collectibles, Williams opened up a Kobe Bryan Redemption pack with little expectations. After going through the first five cards, Williams then proceeds to show the last one – a Kobe Bryant highlight card showcasing the legend in an All-Star uniform.

The real kicker here is when Williams looked at the back of the card. A One of One logo is shown at the top right corner of the card, meaning that this is the only one of its kind in existence.

As of this moment, there are no available price comparisons for this massive card. The closest is a recent auction of a Kobe Bryant Redemption Card Snakeskin Gold 8/10, which fetched $2,025 last month. For sure, this One of One Kobe Bryant card will command a higher price than that in the market.
