It's that time of year again for fantasy football managers; fantasy playoffs. They begin Thursday night with the Los Angeles Chargers hosting the Kansas City Chiefs. That game alone has plenty of names that will fill out playoff lineups. But fantasy football managers got a huge blow to their post season hopes when news broke that Cardinals Pro Bowl wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins will miss the remainder of the regular season.

Fantasy managers who have Hopkins have had to make alternate plans for much of the season. He has already missed three games and was clearly not at full strength in the two games he has played in since returning. Nevertheless, this is a big blow as the playoffs approach.

This obviously opens up more looks for Cardinals wide receivers A.J. Green and Christian Kirk. Last week, with Hopkins hobbled, Green soaked up a season-high 10 targets. He turned that into seven catches for 102 yards. Both of those are also season highs.

Christian Kirk should also continue to see a bump in usage. He turned in a solid performance Monday night in the loss to the Los Angeles Rams, with 86 yards receiving.

It's also very possible that Cardinals tight end Zach Ertz's role is increased down the stretch. The schedule is favorable for Arizona's pass catchers, with games against Detroit, Indianapolis and Dallas. All three have beatable secondaries.

More than likely, all three of those options are rostered in your league though. That might leave you looking elsewhere for replacements. There is a sneaky good option that is extremely undervalued and under owned.

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabriel Davis' stock is on the rise. Emmanuel Sanders is dealing with a knee injury and is not expected to play this weekend. Davis has seen six end zone targets over the last seven games. So, his touchdown equity is there on a high-powered offense. He is coming off a season-high eight targets in the loss to the Buccaneers, with a touchdown catch.

Another readily available option in fantasy leagues is Rashod Bateman. He is coming off his best game as a pro, with seven catches for 103 yards receiving. It looked as though he had been passed on the depth chart by Sammy Watkins, but he formed a connection with Tyler Huntley last week. Lamar Jackson is questionable to play this week. In a game with a solid game script for Ravens receivers vs the Green Bay Packers, Bateman isn't a bad dart throw.

One other player to keep an eye on is New York Jets receiver Elijah Moore. Moore was placed on short term IR but is expected to return for the final two games of the season. So, if he has been dropped in your league, and you somehow make it to your fantasy championship, Moore is a great guy to target. The Jets will play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a game you know the Jets will be forced to throw all game.

Either way, losing DeAndre Hopkins is a blow to any fantasy football team with playoff glory in mind.
