According to WFAA, Marion Barber was found dead in his apartment in Frisco, Texas. This is a troubling loss for the Barber family and Cowboys fans, as his death was sudden and unexpected. He was the brother of former Houston Texans safety Dominique Barber and son of former New York Jets running back Marion Barber Jr.
Barber spent seven years in the NFL, six of those with the Cowboys. He played a vital role in Dallas as he was a strong backup option and starter throughout his career. Many enjoyed watching Marion Barber III, especially on Thanksgiving Thursdays when he seemed to have his best performances.
The former Cowboys running back accumulated a total of 4,780 rushing yards and 59 touchdowns. His 4.1 yards per attempt made him a suitable NFL running back. It's unfortunate that Marion Barber is now dead, as he passed away at such a young age.
