Aston Martin Formula 1 driver Sebastian Vettel just couldn't stop from being in the headlines. This time, however, he gave his fans quite the scare after he crashed his car during the third free practice for the Australian Grand Prix.

According to Formula 1 Twitter, Vettel smashed into the barriers at Turn 1o at Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit. A red flag was taken out so practice can be stopped and stewards can quickly address the situation. Fortunately, the German driver walked out just fine.

As reported by BBC, Vettel can be heard saying in the radio after the crash that he “lost” control of the car.

It is the latest in what has been a rather controversial past few days for Sebastian Vettel. Just recently, the four-time Formula 1 champion made headlines for driving a scooter on track after his Aston Martin broke down. Instead of jumping into a medical car or walking back to the garage, he chose to ride back on the track and even waved at the spectators with his helmet not properly placed.

Vettel was fined 5,000 euros for the incident, with the stewards noting that he breached a rule prohibiting anyone to be on the track after the end of a session.

“In driving on the track to his pit, instead of the designated route, Vettel breached Article 26.7 of the Formula One Sporting Regulations, which prohibits anyone from being on the track in the five-minute period after the end of a session, with the exception of specifically identified personnel, which makes no provision for drivers to have such access unless specifically authorized,” the stewards explained for the reason on Vettel's fine, via BBC.

Clearly, though Vettel is not yet at his best condition after missing the first two races (Bahrain Grand Prx and Saudi Arabian GP) due to COVID-19. He also had to sit out the second free practice (FP2) after that breakdown and motorcycle issue in FP1.

Nothing is going right for him, and it has to be concerning for Aston Martin and Formula 1. Hopefully, though, he gets it together and deliver a noteworthy race in the Australian Grand Prix.
