New York Giants tight end Evan Engram missed his team's most recent game in Week 10 due to a foot injury, but he is now out of his walking boot and hopes to amp up his activity this week, according to Kimberly Jones of NFL Network.

Engram suffered the injury during the Giants' loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 9 and was initially expected to be sidelined for two-to-four weeks. New York had a bye this past week, so Engram is now two weeks into his timetable.

He also missed a game with an MCL injury earlier this year.

In the eight games that Engram has played this season, he has logged 44 catches for 467 yards and three touchdowns.

The 25-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Mississippi, was originally selected by the Giants in the first round (23rd pick overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft.

He played in 15 games during his rookie campaign and was impressive, hauling in 64 receptions for 722 yards and six scores. Injuries then limited him to 11 contests in 2017, and during the time he was on the field he caught 45 passes for 577 yards while reaching the end zone three times.

When healthy, Engram is one of the most dynamic tight ends in football, so the Giants will certainly miss him if he ends up being sidelined for New York's matchup with the Chicago Bears next Sunday.

The Giants have lost six games in a row and are just 2-8 on the year. Since last winning the Super Bowl during the 2011-12 campaign, Big Blue has made the playoffs just once.
