The NFL Draft is only a few weeks away, so prospects are meeting with teams ahead to gauge interest. The New York Giants are reportedly hosting Michigan linebacker Devin Bush for a visit.

According to Adam Schefter via Twitter, New York is hosting Bush tonight for a visit and will continue into Monday.

After the head-scratching Odell Beckham Jr. trade, the Giants own the sixth and 17th overall picks in the first round. The Giants are likely to go offense with their sixth pick but they could address the defense with the 17th pick.

Scheduling meetings with prospects doesn't guarantee that the team is interested in a player at all. Although, Bush would be a decent fit next to Alec Ogletree in the middle of the defense.

In 2018, the Giants carried the 20th ranked run defense in the NFL. Therefore, adding someone like Bush could prove to help improve the defense in that regard.

In three seasons at Michigan, Bush racked up 172 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, and 10 sacks. Those numbers may not be great but Bush is a guy who is always around the ball on the field.

Again, just because the Giants are holding a visit for Bush does not mean they are interested in him. They could be trying to get insight on what type of player/person he is or they could be trying to drive up his price so other teams will move up to grab him.

Nonetheless, holding a visit with Bush means nothing, as do most visits for every NFL team before the NFL Draft. Teams draft boards can change overnight and Bush could possibly be someone who is or isn't on the Giants radar currently.
