The New York Giants ushered in some significant changes to their roster this offseason. Fortunately, it appears one of their newest additions in safety Jabril Peppers has already made quite the impression on running back Saquon Barkley.

The two had a chance to square off on each side of the ball in OTAs. According to Dan Duggan of The Athletic, Barkley likes what he sees from Peppers.

“I love his work ethic,” Barkley said of Peppers. “I love how passionate he is about the game and his competitive nature. I'm happy we got him. I feel like he's really going to help us.”

It is encouraging to see that the two are starting to get acquainted with one another. They will be tasked with making sure everything is in order on their side of the ball. It is clear that Saquon Barkley has high hopes for both of them moving forward.

The Giants made headlines when they traded wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to the Cleveland Browns this offseason. They caught some flak for their return that was centered around a first-round pick along with Peppers as its most notable player. It is safe to say that New York is hoping that he can provide them with plenty of bang for their buck now that the team parted ways with one of the best wideouts in the NFL.

Peppers was initially taken by the Browns with the 25th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. While he's yet to establish himself as a star, his versatile skill set as both a defender and return man will give him an opportunity to make an immediate impact in New York.
