The New York Giants star running back Saquon Barkley does not want to settle. After an incredible rookie year in New York, Barkley didn't let an ankle injury stop him from continuously achieving greatness in his second season last year. The young superstar still managed to break records by being the only running back in Giants' history to have 1,000 rushing yards in their first two seasons in the league.

But if you ask him, Saquon Barkley believes he has to do so much more to put his team in a position to win.

“Obviously, I’m not naïve to the fact that I was blessed with a tremendous talent,” Saquon Barkley said (per NBC Sports). “The way you improve on that is by focusing on little things, focus on the details and listen to your coaches. I think we have a great coaching staff here, from coach [Joe] Judge all the way down to the position coaches, all the guys. I want to be great, and I want to be great for this team. I know that starts with taking coaching and learning from them.”

The Giants have acquired the services of head coach Joe Judge to spearhead things this year and it didn't take long before the coach was impressed with the young running back. Saquon Barkley feels he needs to continuously improve to put his team in a position to win.

“You have to try to improve on every year,” Barkley said. “Try to be a better version of yourself, try to improve on your game. It’s the little things that you do in the offseason. It’s the stuff that you focus on. The details in cutting, the details in watching film, of watching other people on film and trying to expand your game. The way I feel I can be a better Saquon Barkley, I guess you could say, is by coming here every single day.”

Make no doubt about it, Saquon Barkley is locked in.
