It's no secret that Ja Morant has hops for days. The Memphis Grizzlies star point guard has built his career off his insane athleticism and crazy dunks. We've seen him completely obliterate the poor fools who try to challenge him above the rim. Just ask Kevin Love.

During the Grizzlies‘ pregame warmups, Morant once again showed off those insane hops, pulling off a Slam Dunk Contest-worthy dunk for the ages.

Via Bleacher Report:

Ja would go on Twitter to comment on this dunk, saying “7s across the board,” referencing the potential score this dunk would get in the All-Star festivities. At least one fellow star disagreed with this, though, as Donovan Mitchell playfully jabbed at the Grizzlies star:

Mitchell would know a thing or two about scoring in the Dunk Contest. The Utah Jazz star has participating in the annual festivities a few times, wowing the crowds with spectacular dunk. He of all people knows that the Grizzlies star's pregame dunk is worthy of a perfect 50 score.

This then begs the question: will Ja Morant enter the Dunk Contest? He certainly has the flamboyance and the abilities to compete there. Grizzlies fans would surely want their star player to participate during the All-Star event, but there has been a history of notable stars begging off the Dunk Contest (LeBron James being chief among them).

Still, the Grizzlies won't complain if Morant skips the dunk contest. After all, the star point guard has led Memphis to a 26-14 record, good for fourth in the Western Conference. They'll take team wins over All-Star Weekend honors.
