Who says that a big man can't unleash the Shammgod? Omri Casspi of the Memphis Grizzlies says he can do whatever he wants.

Check out the clip below featuring Omri Casspi, unexpectedly breaking out the Shammgod on his way for a layup. Josh Jackson of the Phoenix Suns was sent the other way. Good thing that he was able to contest the layup, but to no avail.

As observed, Omri Casspi's teammates were so caught off guard that they rose from their seats. And seconds after the play, they still remained in awe at what they just saw.

The Shammgod has mostly been utilized by guards and small forwards. In the NBA, not many players use it. After all, NBA players are professional ballers. They usually stick to fundamental moves and only unleash the Shammgod in exhibition games or in lopsided contests.

So Omri Casspi's rendition is very much a surprise. It's hard to imagine a 6-foot-9 forward like him letting out a dribbling move like that and finishing it off with a layup.

This is Omri Casspi's first season with the Grizzlies. And through six games, he's put in 6.2 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. He averages 13.2 minutes per game. Casspi's a certified NBA journeyman. The Grizzlies is his seventh team since entering the NBA as the 23rd overall pick in 2009.
