Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young scored a career-high 50 points on Thursday at home against the Miami Heat, and the All-Star gave his jersey to rapper Quavo afterwards.

When The Athletic's Chris Kirschner asked Young why he gave the jersey away instead of keeping it, the Hawks' franchise player gave a pretty epic response:

The Heat had no answers for Young on Thursday. Trae shot 12-of-25 from the field, 8-of-15 from beyond the arc and 18-of-19 from the free-throw line en route to his 50 points. More importantly, Young led the Hawks to a rare win. Atlanta is now 16-41 on the season. They are still in 14th place in the Eastern Conference standings.

The Hawks acquired center Clint Capela from the Houston Rockets at the trade deadline. Everyone in Atlanta is eager to see Capela and Young play together since Young is one of the best passers in the NBA and Capela is an elite rim roller.

After Thursday's vintage performance, Young is now averaging 30.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 9.2 assists on the season. He's shooting 44.4 percent from the field, 37.4 percent from beyond the arc and 85.6 percent from the free-throw line.

The Hawks will look to make it two straight on Saturday against Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks. Whenever Young and Doncic go head-to-head, something special usually happens.
