Trae Young is the superstar everyone loves to hate. The Atlanta Hawks guard has been spectacular in these playoffs thus far, but it's his unabashed taunts to the crowd and trash talk to opposing players that's gotten people's attention.

Decades ago, there was another offensive juggernaut tormenting the New York Knicks as well. Reggie Miller exhibited the same brash cockiness that Young seems to wear on his sleeve today. The Indiana Pacers icon spoke out about the Hawks guard's unapologetic demeanor on the court, via Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today:

“It’s his confidence, that’s what I love most about him,” Miller said of the Hawks star. “People say borderline cocky. I don’t mind that. I like a guy who is confident in his skills. People have got to understand (what) it takes to be not only a professional athlete.

But the skillset Trae has – the shooting, the dribbling, the tear drops, the floaters, the runners – that’s countless hours in the gym. I respect that because I’ve been there. I know that. There’s a lot of sacrifice that goes into that. I like the ego that he has. It’s something that’s fun to watch.” – Reggie Miller on Hawks' Trae Young

When Reggie Miller respects your villain game, you know you've made it. Now the Hawks star has a chance to accomplish a feat that Miller never did with the Pacers – win the whole damn thing. After all, the best movies are the ones where the bad guys win.
