Vince Carter will return for his 22nd season in the NBA, but a lot of free agents have switched places, perhaps in the wildest free agent movement in recent memory. The Atlanta Hawks veteran wing explained the nature of this offseason and how it will affect the NBA as a business, noting this wide-open chase in each conference will bring even more interest for fans.

“I don’t think there was anything like that (player movements). I think it was like 206 players that were free agents, 40 percent player movement. That’s insane, said Carter on the state of free agency, according to Business World. “I think what it’s done, I think they’re going to gain more fans. Well, I think they’re going to gain more viewers because of the parity… You’re not sure who’s going to win it. I think now they’re going to gain more viewers because of it. You have to kind of watch and see how this plays out. I think it’s just great for the NBA. It’s just great to see.

“There are [also] a lot of great rookies out there. It’s easy to say Zion [Williamson] and [Ja] Morant. I got the opportunity to have a conversation with RJ Barrett, so I’ve gotten to know him well… I’m just interested to see these top five guys, top eight players who are really talked about.”
