The Miami Heat will have to take on the Boston Celtics without Avery Bradley, as Bradley will have to follow COVID-19 protocols after facing the Washington Wizards.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported on Bradley's status for this game and beyond:

Bradley played 19 points in the Heat's 128-124 victory in the nation's capital. He had five points in the win, which dropped the Wizards to 2-8 on the season.

This is not the first time a player has had to enter protocols after facing the Wizards. Chase Hughes of NBC Sports notes that this has been an ongoing issue for teams that have faced the Wizards:

This run started when Kevin Durant had to miss time after facing Washington. Then came Seth Curry and Jayson Tatum. The Chicago Bulls have also been dealing with COVID-19 issues since playing the Wizards earlier this season.

Wizards star Bradley Beal is also sidelined right now due to contact tracing with Tatum. It's unclear how long he'll be out.

With Avery Bradley out for the time being, the Heat will need players like Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson to step up, especially from long range. In the seven games he has played this season, Bradley is putting up a solid 10.0 points per game while shooting 49.0% from the field and 44.8% from beyond the arc. The veteran guard is a solid 3-and-D player, so he will be missed if he sits out several games.

Though the season is still young, the Heat have struggled to get their offense going, as they're ninth in the Eastern Conference with a 4-4 record. With Jimmy Butler only averaging 15.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.3 assists and Herro shooting 28.6% from 3-point land, Miami's offensive production is not close to where it was last season during the NBA Finals run.
