The Miami Heat took one to the chin during Thursday night's Game 3 clash against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Jimmy Butler was the only Heat star who played a solid contest, finishing with a team-high 33 points. But the rest of the team was ice-cold throughout the game. Kyle Lowry finished with a goose egg in the box score after making his return from injury. Tyler Herro was the only other double-digit Heat scorer, but shot an underwhelming 5-for-15 from the field.

Bam Adebayo had as many field goals as points, scoring nine on 2-for-9 shooting from the field. He also posted the worst plus/minus on the team at -22.

But the former All-Star seemed undeterred by his poor offensive output, rather harping on how he could impact the game in other ways for Miami.

Via Miami Herald:

“I’ve got to get my teammates easier baskets,” Adebayo said. “Adjust my screens and get the ball moving more. If we’re stagnant, then [Embiid is] going to be in the paint and can be as effective as possible. I’ve got to set better screens for my teammates, get bigger gaps so they can come off and either attack or hit the pocket, and we can make play plays from there.”

The Heat still have the upper hand with a 2-1 lead, but it's clear that it's a different series with Joel Embiid back in the fray. Bam Adebayo and the rest of Miami's contributors need to play up to standard if they hope to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.
