The Miami Heat are battling through a lot of injuries right now as they fight for their lives in the Eastern Conference Finals against a determined Boston Celtics squad. If you ask Stephen A Smith, however, it is clear that the ESPN broadcaster isn't at all happy with all this drama.

Speaking on ESPN's First Take, Kendrick Perkins slammed the Heat players for their unwillingness to play through their injuries. Tyler Herro is the first name that comes to mind here with the newly-minter Sixth Man of the Year sidelined with a hamstring issue for the past three games of the series.

Stephen A is not having any of this and he's taken Perkins' criticism to another level by saying that these Heat players should try their hand on soap operas with all their drama:

“I just wanted to let y’all know that I made a call because of what Kendrick Perkins just alluded to,” Smith said. “As I told y’all before, some of these brothers, it don’t make any sense – some of them. I made a call to the executive producer of General Hospital, his name is Frank Valentini — exceptional producer, love the guy. I asked him, does he have a role for some of these players. I mean, the drama, the drama KP… I think these guys could do a great great job with some of these soap operas… The slightest thing, they out. They can't go. It's embarrassing at times.”

Apart from Herro, Jimmy Butler, Kyle Lowry, PJ Tucker, and Max Strus are all nursing injuries as well. Then again, all four players are available for Miami in their do-or-die Game 6 bout against the Celtics. Herro, on the other hand, remains out.

It would be completely unfair to judge Herro for not taking the floor unless we are fully aware of the gravity of his groin injury. Nevertheless, Big Perk and Stephen A clearly have no problem with throwing him (and some of his Heat teammates) under the bus.
