Hideo Kojima, the mastermind behind Death Stranding, has publicly responded to Norman Reedus' recent Death Stranding 2 leaks.

Norman Reedus wasn't coy when asked about his projects with legendary film director Guillermo del Toro and legendary game director Hideo Kojima. In an interview with LEO, Reedus shared how he became the lead for both Silent Hills PT and Death Stranding, while also casually revealing that they are already shooting for the second game. “We just started doing the second one,” he says.

His Death Stranding leaks seemingly confirm the existence of the second game. However, neither Hideo Kojima himself nor Kojima Productions have made any pronouncements about a sequel. Of course, a second Death Stranding is always on the table – it's just that there hasn't been anything official for fans to go about just yet.

The nearest thing to an official proclamation there is would be Hideo Kojima's reactions to the Death Stranding leaks themselves. In apparent celebration of Reedus completing the final filming sessions for the last season of AMC's The Walking Dead, Kojima tweets:

“Go to your private room, my friend,” tweets Kojima, along with a thumbs up and heart eyes emoji. He tweeted a picture of himself holding Lucille, the iconic barbed wire-laced bat from The Walking Dead, and pictures of him and Reedus. The “Private Room” is the room where Reedus' character, Sam Porter Bridges, takes a break between his courier missions in Death Stranding.

Whether this is just a nod to the game or a subtle recognition that they are indeed working on a second game is unknown. However, Kojima's cheeky reputation and penchant to mess with fans would make many people believe that this is indeed a subtle confirmation of a Death Stranding sequel.
