Charlotte Hornets big man Dwight Howard has climbed to 16th place on the all-time rebounds list.

Howard snagged his 12,943rd rebound, passing Jerry Lucas for 16th place for most rebounds in NBA History.

Howard — once forecasted to be one of the greatest big men the NBA has ever seen — has been off the radar for the past few years. Ever since leaving the Orlando Magic in 2012, he has jumped from the Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks, and now the Charlotte Hornets.

Though his averages may have gone down from what everyone has been used to seeing, the 32-year-old has remained rather consistent. For the Hornets, he's averaging a double-double, logging in 16.3 points and 12.0 rebounds per contest. These numbers are close to his career averages of 17.4 points and 12.6 rebounds.

The key to his consistent play is taking care of his body. Howard, who's playing his 14th season, has remained relatively healthy. As reported by Ashley Mahoney of The Charlotte Post, Howard gave a glimpse of his training routine and priorities:

“I’m a big believer that if you don’t take of your wheels, which are your feet, your knees and your legs, then anything can happen,” Howard said. “I always try to take care of my body—night in and night out. I spend a lot of time on the treatment table, getting a lot of work in, but also just conditioning and stuff like that.”

While the old dominant Howard is long gone, the present version continues to impress. If all goes well, he might be in for another three to four years before he hangs up his jersey for good. Entering the top 15 in the All-Time rebounds list seems to be next on the list for Dwight.
