LiAngelo Ball is ready to make the most of the opportunity that the Charlotte Hornets have given him. In his own words, the older brother of LaMelo Ball emphasized he's “not taking it for granted.”

As he gears up to join the Hornets in the Las Vegas Summer League next week, LiAngelo talked about his journey so far in his attempt to break through the NBA ranks just like his two siblings. He also shared how he's feeling regarding his stint in Charlotte, especially now that he has a chance to make it to a pro roster.

“It just feels good being here and knowing that I have people behind me and they want to see me succeed,” Ball said, per Lonzo Wire. “The coaches are reacting to me differently here. It’s just a good environment all-around. The players play hard, the energy is great so that rubs off on me so I just try to play my hardest when I go on the court.”

LiAngelo Ball's bid to make it to the top professional league in the world hasn't been easy. While he had his chances, it just didn't work out for him.

He signed with the Oklahoma City Blue to play in the G League back in 2019-20, but the COVID-19 pandemic hit and canceled the season without Ball seeing the floor. Meanwhile, before the 2020-21 season, LiAngelo signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Detroit Pistons only to get waived two weeks later due to an ankle injury.

Now with the Hornets, LaVar Ball's middle son is surely hoping that things will finally go his way and he'll be able to show what he can do.
