The Tennessee Titans and the Indianapolis Colts meet for the second and last time in the 2021 NFL regular season this coming Sunday, this time at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Titans won the first meeting in Week 3 at home, 25-16, but lots have happened since, and the Colts are raring to get back at Tennessee. With all that said, here are four Indianapolis Colts predictions for their rematch against their AFC South rivals.

Colts Week 8 Predictions

4. The Colts prevent Derrick Henry from touching 100 rushing yards

Is there a more unstoppable individual force in the NFL today than Titans running back Derrick Henry? It's almost like the former Alabama Crimson Tide tailback is an asset worth banning in the NFL for the sake of fair play.

No one has really checked Henry, who's literally running away with the rushing title this season. Henry enters Week 8 with 869 rushing yards, which are 290 more than anyone in the league. But that's exactly what makes this Indianapolis Colts predictions part bold. How would the Colts stop that beast from racking up yards at will on the ground? That's not to mention the fact that San Francisco running back Elijah Mitchell generated 107 rushing yards and a touchdown on just 18 carries against the Colts in Week 7.

Henry could very well end up with over 100 yards, heck 200 yards in this game because nothing appears to be impossible for him. However, the Colts have it in them to slow him down. After all, they held him to only 113 rushing yards on 28 carries in the first meeting.

While they are just 14th in the league with 111.0 rushing yards allowed per game, the Colts are sixth in defensive Second Level Yards, per Football Outsiders. Henry can break tackles like he always does, but Indianapolis seems to be capable of stopping him from gaining a ton of yards on just a single play. The Colts have yet to give up a rushing attempt that went for at least 40 yards.

3. Jonathan Taylor outduels Henry

Henry is the clear no. 1 running back in the NFL this season. Behind him, statistically speaking, is Colts running back Jonathan Taylor, who is second in the league with 579 rushing yards. He is also fifth with 5.5 rushing yards per carry.

If there's a running back you should feel the most confident in on his chances to outshine Henry, it's got to be the second-year tailback out of Wisconsin. Taylor has rushed for a total of 252 yards and three touchdowns in his last two games. Tennessee's run defense is top 10 in terms of rushing yards allowed, but it's 25th in yards given up per carry and 20th in opponents' rushing TDs per contest.

A couple more Indianapolis Colts predictions ahead.

2. Carson Wentz goes off for 300 yards and four passing touchdowns

Forget about Wentz's hilarious fumble in Week 7's win over San Francisco. The Colts quarterback has been silently playing good football of late. He's tossed for multiple touchdowns in each of the last four Indianapolis games, and he did all that without getting picked. All that happened since Wentz put up a forgettable performance in the loss to Tennessee wherein he passed for just 194 yards with zero touchdowns and no interceptions on 19-of-37  completions.

Colts head coach Frank Reich is now seeing his trust in Wentz pay off, too.

Via Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk:

“I really like the way he’s pushing the ball down the field, how aggressively he’s thinking but still making good decisions, checking it down when he needs to. He’s doing a great job in the run game when we need to get to the right checks in the run game — managing the game the right way and making plays and being good situationally. Last week, we saw him make a couple plays with his feet, but without going crazy doing that. So, we’re trying to find that right balance.”

And for the final part of this Indianapolis Colts predictions piece…

1. Indianapolis upsets the Titans

Tennessee has all the momentum going for it. There's no team out there that should be thumping their chests harder and louder than the Titans, who took down the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs in consecutive games. Actually, the Titans are on a three-game win streak, as they started it with a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 5, but that's an accomplishment no one really brags about during dinner. But the Colts are also in high spirits. They seem to be starting to figure it out with Carson Wentz under center.

Like the Titans, the Colts are on a roll, having won their last two games: the first against the lowly Houston Texans, which was as noteworthy as Tennessee's win against the Jaguars; then they beat the San Francisco 49ers on the road in Week 7, 30-18. It's possible that the Colts look back on that victory as the turning point of their season. The Niners are also still struggling this season, but that's still a good San Francisco team the Colts beat in Santa Clara amid bad weather conditions.

Don't sleep on the Colts ambushing Tennessee at home in Week 8.
